Healing Hearts Pediatrics, P.L.C., welcomes expecting parents. We encourage expecting parents to schedule a “Meet-and-Greet” prenatal visit with one of our Board Certified physicians. Healing Hearts Pediatrics, P.L.C., also welcomes new patients. We provide complete healthcare in a supportive and caring environment for children from birth through eighteen years of age. Our practice believes that good patient care includes educating parents, offering comprehensive well child care, and providing same day sick appointments.
We opened our doors in December 2004. We have five Board Certified pediatricians, one Board Certified Physician Assistant and two Board Certified nurse practitioners with over sixty-years combined medical experience! With triage nurses and on-call physicians available, we are here when you need us most!
We support and implement the American Academy of Pediatrics and Center for Disease Control guidelines for immunizations. This fundamental piece of well care protects all of our patients, including newborns that have not yet received their immunizations. Due to a significant rise in vaccine preventable illnesses within our community, Healing Hearts Pediatrics, P.L.C., had decided that we cannot see the children of parents who choose not to immunize their children. Vaccine preventable illnesses have spread rapidly in physician office waiting rooms and we do not have the capacity of an emergency department to treat and isolate the spread of disease. Please consider this before you choose a pediatrician to take care of your child.
The physicians at Healing Hearts Pediatrics, P.L.C., are on staff to see newborns at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. We provide comprehensive care for our newborns at this facilities, and will visit you and your baby every day that you are in the hospital. Your first visit to the office will be one to two days after discharge from the hospital, again at two weeks of age, and in between, as needed. If desired, newborn circumcision can usually be done in the hospital. One of our physicians will discuss the risks and benefits of this procedure thoroughly with you and obtain consent prior to circumcision. We can also complete this procedure in our office for newborns up to three weeks of age.
As you know, there is much concern about the overuse of antibiotics in pediatrics. Our physicians and nurse practitioners support judicious use of antibiotics and will prescribe them when appropriate. If an antibiotic is not indicated for your child at the time of service, we will provide you with education and advice about the best way to get your little one feeling well soon.
We ask that you bring your insurance card to every visit and your child’s vaccination record to the initial new patient visit and every well visit thereafter.
